moduPOD FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

General

The moduPOD is manufactured using specially designed components to build a light steel frame structure perfectly suited to the electrical, plumbing, lighting, and insulation requirements, as well the interior and exterior finishing requirements we have set as a benchmark for discerning clients. Our modules are factory-built under strict quality guidelines and are finished before being transported and placed on-site.

The on-site assessment is a critical part of assessing suitability of terrain and site access for the moduPOD units selected. This step is necessary to determine the best orientation of the unit on site as well as the base structure requirements and service connections to ensure a smooth and successful placement. The site assessment requires a non-refundable fee of R10,000 to cover time and travel costs. This upfront investment will be deducted from your 1st payment should you proceed with the purchase.

You can place your moduPOD on any site with suitable site access for the delivery vehicle and if necessary, a suitable crane.

Permits and regulations

As an add-on to an existing home, the modules can be placed and installed without requiring a permit.
